MEMBERSHIP

It's easy to become a member of the National FastDance Association! 

​

The NFA provides dancers with discounted music licensing and liability insurance. Our members receive substantial savings on music licensing fees for their dance activities and promotion of their clubs and events. We actively promote our members on our website, in our newsletter, and on social media. We invite you to join our community of dancers which includes over 500 member clubs and multi-day events. Join now to start receiving the benefits of NFA membership, such as:

  • Music licensing that extends to parties held in locations not usually covered by such protection.  

  • No waiting period, you become immediately affiliated with the NFA when your paperwork is received. 
  • We process all reports and paperwork to ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC for our members.
  • Access to medical and life insurance, event liability insurance, and officers & directors liability insurance.

We offer two levels of membership: 
CLUB - social dance clubs 
SUPPORTING - individuals (instructors/deejays/vendors),  event hosts/sponsors, other organizations

1. CLUB

 

Annual Dues: 30 cents per member (Minimum Fee: $25, Maximum Fee: $100)

 

There is no requirement that your club has bylaws. Membership is available whether or not your club is incorporated/chartered or not and whether it is profit or non-profit. No referral needed. No annual meetings are required. Any other NFA member club that may be in your area cannot block your club affiliation.

The online application includes the participation agreements. Everything needed to apply or renew is on one form.

Membership and licensing run on a yearly basis from January 1 - December 31. Both must be renewed each year. 
 
Licensing fees collected are a form of royalties. Approximately 85% of the royalties collected go to the artists, composers or publishers of the dance music we enjoy.
